Grants

Eligibility

The Foundation reviews a limited number of proposals each year. Please confirm that your organization meets the following criteria before submitting:

  • Tax-Exempt Status. Your organization is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)⁠(3) or 501(c)⁠(19) in good standing.
  • Area of Focus. Your proposed project aligns with one of the Foundation's five funding areas: healthcare, education, science, social welfare, or the environment.
  • Direct Impact. The requested funding will support programs and services with direct, demonstrable benefit to the people you serve.
  • Fiscal Responsibility. Your organization has (i) audited or reviewed independent financial statements or (ii) internally generated annual financial statements, the accuracy to which your comptroller or CFO will attest.
  • Tax Returns. Your organization is current on its federal tax return filings.

The Foundation's guidelines exclude the following:

  • Places of worship and religious facilities, unless the proposed grant is earmarked for childhood education programs.
  • Political organizations, including campaigns, political action committees (PACs), and lobbying groups.
  • Think tanks.
  • Individuals or individual proprietorships.
  • Arts and culture programs, unless the proposed grant is earmarked for a project that has a clear educational component.
